Partly cloudy skies tonight with lows in the low 50s.
More sunshine expected for the rest of the work week with unseasonably warm temperatures. The risk for wet weather is in the forecast for Friday and Sunday."

Here & There, Yesterday
More Autumn "Wow!"
In front of the Cleary residence on Fuess-Cleary Road.
Right at the corner of Madison Street and Route 20.
The ornamental Crab Apple Tree next to the former Grace Episcopal Church.

One of the ornamental fruit trees in front of the Observatory - photographed by Library Director Jeff Reynolds.
Not all the color is on trees: the historic William Candee home at the corner of Park Place and Sanger Avenue is elegant in its new siding!
The formerly yellow home on West Bacon Street is going to be lovely, too. This photograph does not accurately show you the shade of brown --- it's almost like chocolate (or perhaps mocha) ice cream and the trim is like dark fudge syrup with touches of whipped cream topping!

On Stafford Avenue, work has begun on the new steps at St. Bernard's Catholic Church.
A new sign in the Park.
Back out in the country, a pretty glimpse of the old Chenango Canal next to Burnham Road.....
..... where Wild Grapevines are within easy reach .....
..... and now there are nice, wide shoulders bordering the newly resurfaced road making it very easy for anyone wanting to walk or run on the Marshall Trail (or pick wild grapes) to park.

FOR THE RECORD
No one even tried to identify these lads,
so I'll have to tell you:
they are, from l. to r.,
Bernie Condon, Junior Bartlett and Gil Condon.
Jr. Bartlett sent me the picture, writing: "My two best buddies when I grew up on West Bacon street Bern and Gil Condon, we lived next door to each other. This photo as you can see was taken during WW-2 1941 and we must have been playing soldiers by the way we are dressed."
Thanks very much, Jr!
*******
Have a great day, everyone!
