The YNN Weather Forecast:
"Lake Showers and Chilly Conditions, Chilly & Unsettled the Rest of the Week

"Through the rest of the week temperatures will continue to run below average and with an upper level low in place, lake effect rain and elevation snow showers will remain in the forecast. In fact, accumulating snow is likely over the Tug Hill and across southwestern portions of the Adirondacks.
Heading into the weekend we’ll be watching a clipper type system move in which will keep the overall weather pattern chilly and unsettled."

Here & There

It wasn't the "Shaggy Mane" or Inky Cap" mushrooms that I was taking a picture of, but actually the new "for Sale" sign on the plot of land near the railway tracks on Putnam Street that caught my eye.

Once occupied by Putnam Hall, which was razed in 2007, the land is now for sale by the owner: the Village of Waterville.

The beautiful fan-shaped leaves on the Gingko trees at the Crowe residence on Buell Avenue (above) and the Zwahlens' home in Sangerfield are turning gold.

Orange for Autumn and Hallowe'en decorate this Tower Street doorway.....

.... but down in Forge Hollow, it looks as if someone's been thinking ahead, singing "Up on the Rooftop" and getting ready for Christmas!
