It's "Green Waste" Day

I originally got up at 5 o'clock but finding that it was pitch black and 30 degrees on the nose I went back to bed!

Now it's 32.6 degrees and light enough to see that there are patches of real frost on part of the lawn.

Do you know where your jacket and mittens are?

The WKTV Weather Forecast:  "After a chilly, frosty start, temperatures will warm back up into the 60s under sunny skies.  Clear skies tonight with lows near 40.
A large area of high pressure remains in control of our weather for the next several days.  Highs on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday expected to top out in the 70s.
Showers return by the weekend."

Yesterday was a bit warmer, but it was dark and showery.

There were a few bright spots.  This is on California Road ............

........ and here, a portion of Marilyn's Autumn arrangement at Dan Maine's Woodshop on Madison Street........

............. and at the Pryputniewicz Farm on Route 12, north of the Village.

A Curiosity

A swarm of Honey Bees has formed on the south side of my old barn.  The Bees have lived in the clapboards for forty years or more despite having been either removed or fumigated twice.
If you ever wondered "Why doesn't that side of the barn ever get painted?"
That's your answer!
