It's Garbage Day
53 degree at 5:30 a.m.

From WKTV:  "*Frost advisory in effect tonight for CNY*

An unsettled start to the work week, but the weather will turn nicer later this afternoon.  Clouds and showers this morning give way to sunshine late this afternoon.  Breezy and cooler, with highs in the low 60s.
Clear skies tonight with patchy frost toward daybreak.  Lows in the low 30s.
A massive area of high pressure delivers several sunny, dry, warm days.  Highs in the 70s on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Showers return by the weekend."

IN THE MAIL

From Kaitlin Eisenhut: "My father, Tom Eisenhut, asked me to contact you because he has a favor to ask. He has had a cat that has been living at the laundromat for a while and he wants to find her a home before the winter. The cat is a friendly, young, beautiful female. She would make a wonderful family pet. Could you post this picture as well as my father's phone number on the blog?"

Here & There

Now there's no question!

*************************************

Some of the soft maples around the pond next to Madison Street are showing Autumn colors ...

................ and Fall decorations are appearing on East Bacon Street.

*******************

On country roads, Asters and Goldenrod.

A few fields of soy, like this one next to Gridley-Paige Road, are turning gold...

........... but these Sumacs next to Route 315 are brilliant ....

.......... and these rows of Sunflowers and Zinnias at the Rippeys' on Route 12B, north of Deansboro, make one of the prettiest sights around!

Have a bright and brilliant day, everyone!

Tomorrow is Green Waste Collection!
