It's Garbage Day
43 degrees at 5:00 a.m.

The YNN Weather Forecast:

"Nice and Quiet, Beautiful Into the Weekend
Over the next several days, no major storm systems are expected to have an impact on us and high pressure will continue to dominate. This will allow for dry weather and plenty of sun through the rest of the week and into the weekend. The only changes forecast to take place will be the temperatures as a gradual warming trend takes place.
We’ll see highs closer to 70 degrees both Thursday and Friday with temperatures warming into the low/mid 70s Saturday and Sunday.
At this point, it appears our next chance for a few scattered showers will be Sunday night into Monday morning as cold front moves through."

Here and There

As seen from Gridley-Paige Road, nearly across from McAdam Road, this enormous structure is worth taking a ride to see.

It looks as if it might be fully as large as this barn - built by Ruben Tower in the 1860s and now on Pumilia property next to Huntington Place - nearly hidden by young trees in the Black Walnut plantation.

Wherever you go, you'll see clumps of Wild Sunflowers......

...... and in open fields, like this one between Madison Street and Bogan Road South, large gaggles of Canada Geese taking  sunny-day rests from their southbound travels.
