The Weather Forecast from WKTV:
"*A freeze warning is in effect for the Adirondacks tonight*
A cold front passed through the area late last night and will bring cooler weather to our area today. Clouds give way to sunshine with highs in the 60s.
Clear skies tonight will bring chilly conditions to the area. Temperatures will drop into the 30s. It will be cold enough for patchy frost in the outlying areas. Protect your garden by covering it.
Pleasant weather wraps up the week. An outside threat for showers on Saturday, with plenty of sunshine expected this weekend."

Here & There
Yesterday was a spectacularly beautiful day and I made the most of it, from enjoying the view from the top of West Hill to finding beautiful blue "Bottle Gentian" in the Brookfield Horse Trail System and cruising all around Waterville before I stopped.
But first, a word of CAUTION!
The rail crossing on White Street is really, REALLY rough!
******************
Now we know: new slate-blue siding is applied at the "Candee House" on the corner of Park Place and Sanger Avenue.
In the Park it was "Farmers Market" day - which meant that the Blunts of Longview Farm in Deansboro were there - as always!
It's giant Sunflower season everywhere from Sanger Avenue to a field South of Deansboro next to Route 315.
Giant corn nearly hides the view of Shanley Road from West Hill.
Pete Kane's giant Hop Vines reach for the sky on Bogan Road.
The very strange "fruit" of the Cucumber Magnolia in front f the Mack residence on Berrill Avenue shone in the sun.......
.......... and the berries on the Mountain Ash, or Rowan tree, in front of Jack Prior's place on Madison Street are as orange as orange can be.
'Way out in the Brookfield Hills, the Bottle Gentian was just where it's been for the past forty-plus years!
Moist ditches are filled with two of my favorites: Blue Lobelia ....
.......... and Purple Loosestrife.
It was a very good day!
