IT'S RECYCLING DAY
24.8 degrees at 5:15.

From YNN:  "Wednesday is shaping up to be breezy and cold with highs in the upper 20s to near 30 degrees; however, many will see temperatures drop through the second half of the day. Snow showers from the low pressure system will taper but in its wake there may be some light lake effect setting up southeast of Lake Ontario.
Thursday we focus in on a new system that will bring with it the better chance for accumulating snow Thursday night and Friday. Temperatures on Thursday are forecast to top out in the mid/upper 20s, climbing closer to 30 degrees by Friday. High pressure is expected to make a comeback for the upcoming weekend which should give us a break from the snow with quieter weather and plenty of sun."

Here & There

A late afternoon view of peaceful "Pleasant Valley" from S. Brothertown Road.

Next to Bogan Road.

There was barely enough snow for smooth skiing on the Marshall Trail....

... or snowmobiling across fields next to Osborn Avenue.

Something new and different: a frozen "flood" on Madison Street, just beyond the veterinarian clinic, reminiscent of the old "Lake Hanover!"

Soon after Christmas there were indications that the "This n That" consignment shop on W. Main Street was closing. The shop windows were always prettily decorated, but now rental signs have appeared.

The former ACCESS Bank building is still available ......

..... but the Sale sign has disappeared from the former "Huddle on Main" restaurant on W. Main Street.
Keep watching for changes there and at other Main Street establishments, too!
