******************

BACK TO SCHOOL
and back on regular schedule.

It's Garbage Day.

Just 32 degrees at 6:30 with a trace of new snow.

From WKTV:  "Monday starts out with mostly cloudy skies and a few flurries. An area of high pressure brings sunshine and mild weather by Monday afternoon with highs in the upper 30s. Sunshine to start Tuesday with an increase in clouds out ahead of a large storm system. This storm system will be watched closely as precipitation could be a mix of rain and snow by Wednesday.
Unsettled weather remains in the forecast late into the week, with several opportunities for light snow."

It was a disappointing weekend for area athletes and their fans.

Despite a steady drizzle on Saturday, these clever sculptors were putting finishing touches on a Snow Family (including a pet dog - or cat?) while many more children and their parents enjoyed Snow Fest activities, hot chocolate and doughnuts inside the Library.

Although some snow fell on Sunday afternoon, it will take several more inches before this trail is rideable, again.

...... and also why the maples at the Hildreth home on Osborne Avenue have been tapped!

Carpenter Wayne Brouillette has been making the most of the mild weather working on the enclosure for the "lift" at the rear entrance of the Waterville Historical Society.
