10:00 a.m. update

It's Garbage Day

24 degrees and dry at 7:00 a.m.

The Forecast from YNN: "We will get through the daylight hours of Thursday dry with highs in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees.  Thursday night there will be an area of low pressure passing just to the north, providing a few scattered rain and snow showers into Friday. Temperatures for the tail end of the work week are forecast to top out in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees, but there will be a colder air mass settling in this weekend.  Highs will be in the 20s on Saturday, with teens expected on Sunday.  Temperatures will improve heading into next week. Wednesday was bright and sunny and melty and muddy!

It wasn't as if all these vehicles, lined up at the Waterville Carwash,  had been driven across one of those muddy fields - they were just liberally coated with salty sand and grit from safely de-iced roads.
