Recycling Collection Today
It's 53 degrees and sunny at 6:30 a.m.

The YNN Weather Forecast:

"Showers Return Today, Unsettled Pattern Developing

Clouds will continue to build overhead today along with scattered showers. Even though temperatures are expected to be cooler, we’ll still end up above average with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s.
A few scattered showers stay in the forecast Thursday with highs once again in the low 70s. A new area of low pressure arrives Friday allowing for a steadier, more widespread batch of rain to push in.
Unfortunately, as it tracks eastward a much cooler air mass looks to settle in this weekend and early next week with highs only in the low to mid 50s!"

My camera did not come home with me last evening, but that's alright, because I know just where I left it.

In the meantime, here are some old, but timely, pictures to look at.

The Red Bud trees that were planted at the very top of Buell Avenue about twenty-five years ago by the late Al Rand are in bloom.

NOW at the Landis Farm on Shanley Road!

When I see fields of dandelions, like this, I can't help but think of the time that "Pete" Peterson and "Syd" Erickson picked about six brown grocery bags full of blossoms .....

............. and turned them into Dandelion Wine!

Most Trillium are either deep wine-colored (think merlot) or pure white, but then there are the "Painted Trillium," like this -  somewhat smaller than the other two and a rarity, in this area.

*****

Today's search - Wood Betony, along Oriskany Creek.

- and then a "photo op" stop at Merri-Rose, where the girls should just be getting warmed up for the Mother's Day rush!!

*****

Have a grand day, everyone!

(Especially Lois:  "Happy Birthday!")
