It's Recyclables Collection Day
65 degrees and sunny at 7:00 a.m.

(Yes - having been awakened several times by thunder, as storms rolled eastward, I've overslept!)

The WKTV Weather Forecast: "Scattered thunderstorms are a good bet again this afternoon - with a few storms on the strong side.  Thunderstorms will be capable of producing winds in excess of 60mph along with quarter size hail.  Muggy and warm again today, with highs in the lower 80s.
The thunderstorm risk continues tonight, with overnight lows in the 60s.
More widespread rain is likely Thursday as a cold front swings through and cooler and refreshing conditions are slated to arrive for Friday and the Holiday Weekend."

Yesterday

Haying has begun.

Where a stretch of the tree belt next to White Street had been scraped, recently, "hydroseed" has been applied.

The Village's Summertime "accessories" continue to appear:  now park benches are placed here and there along Main Street ..........

...................  and festive bunting has been hung on the Bandstand.

What's left?  Hanging planters, I think.
