It's Garbage Day
51 degrees and hazy at 6:30 a.m.

The WKTV Morning Weather Forecast: "A dying storm system will continue to affect our weather today.  A brief opportunity for sunshine this morning, before clouds and rain showers return for the afternoon.  Highs near 70.
Mostly cloudy tonight with patchy fog late.  Lows near 50.
As a cold front approaches for the end of the week another round of showers will be possible.  A cool down is expected by Sunday just in time for Mother's Day.
Widespread frost is possible on Sunday Night and Monday night."

Yesterday - it rained ..........

.................... but the ornamental pear trees are in bloom and the lawn chair were out at Morgan's on west Main Street.

Right across the road, inside the Merri-Rose Florist Shop, the girls - Val Schenk, left and shop owner Diane Cornish - barely had room to move. Not only are both coolers filled with flowers of all varieties, but every table surface and just about all of the floor space are taken up with either boxes or water-filled containers packed with beautiful flowers ready to be selected for bouquets or made into special arrangement for Mother's Day.

Out and around the Village, the Azaleas and "Bleeding Heart" are in bloom.

Dicentra Spectabilis

Dicentra Cucullaria, a much smaller relative of the Bleeding Heart called "Dutchmen's Britches," carpet the floor of wood lots out in the countryside.
