"Scattered Showers and Storms, Hot & Humid Toward the End of the Week

 Showers and storms remain a threat for today however, it will be warm and more humid with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s.

As the front continues to track northward, a very warm and humid air mass will build in for the second half of the week. Temperatures on Thursday are forecast to climb into the upper 80s and by Friday we’ll be topping out near 90 degrees! Each of these days will feature a few hit or miss showers/storms but there should be quite a bit of dry weather mixing in as well.

At this point it seems as though highs this weekend will stay in the 80s before a cold front pushes in Sunday afternoon."

The recent rain has caused just about everything green to grow upwards at record speed. Fortunately, most of the Hop Vines at the Library have been able to fight their way out of the weeds and are racing up the poles!



More and more of Pat's garden is emerging into daylight.

The beautiful "Swamp Pink" or "Pinkster" next to the Coffman residence, south of CVS,  is coming into bloom ...



............. and the first of the little pink "Gilly Flowers" are showing up amidst yellow Ragwort in fields next to Loomis Road.
