It's Recyclables Collection Day
57 degrees at 6:00 a.m. and the rain has stopped.
The morning Weather Forecast from YNN:
"Warm & Humid, Showers Return for the Weekend
Temperatures are forecast to climb into the 80s and close to 90 today with humid conditions and by Friday temperatures will be topping out near 90 degrees! Each of these days will feature a few hit or miss showers/storms, but there should be quite a bit of dry weather mixing in as well.
Saturday will be another hot day with highs near 90 degrees. Once again, a shower or thunderstorm will be possible during the afternoon.
Sunday will feature a better chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms as a cold front works in. Temperatures will drop back into the 70s heading into next week."
****************
Yesterday afternoon's rain/thunder storm, during which the rain blew horizontally at times, did considerable damage in communities fifteen or twenty miles north of Waterville.
from WKTV.
from the Utica Observer-Dispatch.
I haven't heard of any such damage in this area, but I can hear "Big Creek" running full and I'll be going out for an early "ride-around" to see if there's more to tell you about.

ONE NEW ANNOUNCEMENT
in addition to those I've posted earlier this week:
I spotted this sign just down the Route 315 hill from the center of Deansboro for the first time yesterday afternoon. After last evening's rain it may not even be there, today!
The new Marshall Town Barn
replaces the old barn that burned in January, 2011.

Later today I'll be sitting down at the computer to put together an interactive list of sites for you to follow so that you can still put together your own Morning News while I'm on Summer break!
Check back this afternoon.
In the meantime, have a great day!
