Today is "Earth Day"
Read the history of the event HERE.
It's also Garbage Day in Waterville;
31 degrees and just a bit hazy at 7:00 a.m.
The WKTV Weather Forecast: "High pressure will once again bring sunshine and dry weather to Central New York today. Seasonably mild today with highs near 60. Clear skies tonight with widespread frost. Lows near 30.
Another pleasant afternoon on Tuesday with a few extra clouds. Rain showers return Wednesday as a cold front passes by. Drier and sunny weather returns late in the week."

Yesterday
....... was, indeed, a "red letter" day. My daughter, Allison, and her husband, Rick, and their son Iain came for a day of pizza, checking out Big Creek, some brush trimming, a back roads scenic tour and "Kenken" in the NY Times.

........... and Pulmonaria / "Lungwort".)
It was fairly late in the afternoon when I went out to see what pictures were waiting, and there was still plenty of activity throughout the village. On West Bacon Street, alone, there was brisk road grit cleanup in progress and, in the background, .........
......... along came Ginny Battaglia and her dog, marching along at a rapid pace.
Outside the Village, golfers were enjoying a late-afternoon round on the very green greens in Sangerfield.
This certainly did not spring up overnight, but it was the first time that I'd noticed the huge new barn and Center State Petroleum tank behind Green Acres Storage, west of Sangerfield!
