It's Garbage Day
29.5 degrees and dry at 5:00 a.m.

The Weather Forecast from YNN:
"More Seasonable Today with Sun! Staying Seasonable into the Weekend.
After a cold start, temperatures will warm quickly thanks to lots of sunshine. Depsite temperatures warming into the upper 40s and low 50s, it'll still feel a bit chilly with breezy conditions.

Clouds will increase for a bit on Friday as a cold front approaches. Following that cold front temperatures should remain somewhat seasonable with highs in the upper 40s to around 50 for both Friday and Saturday. A few spotty showers should arrive by Sunday along with another push of mild air."

IN THE NEWS

 - from YNN.

The Mid-York Weekly.

Yesterday

The wind caused blowing and drifting in some spots .......

............ but the sun was bright and by mid-afternoon the six inches of snow that had buried half of the red - 1 foot - mark on my "snow stake" had melted and daffodil sprouts seemed to grow taller as I watched.

They're sprouting next to the sidewalk at the bandstand, too!

At Morgan's, whirlygigs were spinning .......

............. and the rakes and other garden tools shone.

I was at Putnam and Elmwood at just the right time to catch these two happy fellows celebrating Spring!

Celebrating sunshine in their own fashion were large gatherings of deer and wild turkeys in a field next to Frog Park Road.

Right across from that field, hundreds of crocuses in the front yard of Stockwell Farms are just about to bloom!
