It's BIG TRASH Day
24.8 degrees and snowing at 5:00 a.m.

The YNN Weather Forecast:
"Lake Effect Snow Showers Continue; Remaining Chilly Through Midweek.

We’ll be under the influence of an area of low pressure spinning to the north which will continue to pump in a chilly air mass and keep lake effect snow in the forecast. Actual temperatures look to top out in the 30s; however, the wind will make it feel more like the teens and 20s. Lake squalls still making for slow travel conditions mainly southeast of Lake Ontario.
Snow showers and flurries gradually wind down Wednesday as high pressure builds overhead but it remains chilly with highs in the upper 30s. We finally see improvement take place for the second half of the week.
Not only will the weather be quieter but temperatures should rebound to more seasonable levels with highs in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.

Yesterday

Snow Drops were blooming ....

... and Spring Garden Equipment was out at Morgan's!

Osborne Mayer painting.

The trout were waiting ...

..... and "trout master" Bob Mayne must have made contact with a few because he had a big smile on his face when I saw him standing next to Big Creek in the vicinity of Forge Hollow.

The Town of Marshall Highway Department has cleared an easement that will make it easier for fishermen to get to Big Creek from Sally Road.

IN THE NEWS

-from the Observer-Dispatch

IN THE MAIL

 - an E-note from Rotarian Doug Plourde who wrote: "Just reporting that over 100 children enjoyed the afternoon at Harding Nursing Home for the annual Rotary Easter Egg Hunt.  We even had a visit from the Easter Bunny himself.

While hunting for the wooden gold and silver eggs, the children gathered plastic eggs filled with jelly beans and lollipops.  Justin Henty (10), Kailey Smart (7), Kayden Wells (3), Dylan Frost (3) and Cheyenne Grave (7) found the special eggs and received Chocolate Bunnies. All children also received a goodie bag."

Thanks, Doug! It's always nice to get feed-back!
