The Monday Weather Forecast from WKTV: 


"A warm front lifts north today, bringing some clouds and a big push of mild temperatures.  Highs today soar into the 60s! 
Mostly cloudy skies tonight, with overnight lows in the 40s.
A strong cold front on Tuesday will bring steady rain as well as a few thunderstorms. Cooler weather on Wednesday with sunshine and highs in the 50s.
Another push of warmer weather on Thursday and Friday, with highs in the upper 60s.  Cooler weather returns again for the weekend."

A blog reader e-wrote to me, saying:
"The trees (on White Street and Putnam) have been massacred!"






Of course it has something to do with the power lines (and the fact that years ago a great many tall-growing maple trees were planted in the tree belt) but, until foliage appears, the writer's description is quite accurate.

Sunday Afternoon at the Library

Peepapalooza! Peep Diorama Contest
4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Description:  Get yourself a whole heap of Peeps and create a depiction of a favorite scene or character from a book. The one rule is that all characters must be played by peeps. Dioramas will be accepted and displayed at the library throughout the month of April. Winners will be announced April 30th.

The Waterville Public Library invites aspiring artists to submit one original work of art into our first Express Yourself Teen Art Contest. This event is open to all students (public or home school) from grade 7 to 12. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place cash prizes will be awarded. You may hand deliver your submission to the Waterville Public Library by 5pm on April 15th.
