Tuesday Morning... better late than never!

This is how the day started out:  no internet! Plugged, unplugged and tried again. Phoned Frontier: listened over and over again to a busy signal. Finally - at 8:00 - telephoned my daughter in Ballston Lake who posted the following:

"Modern technology sometimes is not all it is cracked up to be :)

This is Allison - wait - don't panic!  The Blogger wanted to apologize as she has no internet access and cannot post her daily blog at this moment!

It is all set to go, but Frontier is apparently having a challenging day...  She'll post more when they resolve their issues!

Have a happy day!"

But now - at 8:30 - all's well!

It's 47 degrees and raining.

Yesterday, Here & There

Through no fault of its own,
Waterville was not at its most photogenic, yesterday, so I headed out into the country!

Only twenty more days. The bench next to the Oriskany Creek midway between Lyons Mills and Oriskany Falls will be there for fishermen when Trout Season Opens!

Canada Geese mingled with mallards on the pond at Lyon's Mills....

...  and just outside the Village, next to Osborn Avenue, two geese were wandering around in a field looking, perhaps, for the little pond that was there for a while last year.

Smile of the day:  are those sap bottles hanging on a tree in Forge Hollow?

IN THE NEWS

From the New York Daily News.

"Shipwreck Sharples walked into Deansboro Superette in upstate New York two weeks ago. The superette is family-owned-and-operated since 1967 and sells the Daily News. John, the owner, hadn’t seen Shipwreck since the Super Bowl (Feb. 3).
