From YNN's Tuesday evening forecast: "Lake effect snow and scattered snow showers continue to impact
Central NY right through the day Wednesday which is also the first day
of spring but it certainly won’t feel like it. Actual high temperatures
will be in the low 30s but wind chills are expected to be in the teens
and 20s!
An upper-level low keeps our weather cold and unsettled right
through the tail end of the work week with snow showers staying in the
forecast and temperatures remaining below average (highs in the low to
mid 30s). It still looks as though improvement holds off until the
weekend and while we should manage to get through Sunday completely dry
it will only be short-lived with a new system working in early next
week."

By noon, yesterday, we had six inches of heavy, wet snow. Shoveling - and even snow-blowing - were tedious.
Someone on White Street had a much more pleasant way of dealing with the white stuff!

At the Polls
I found soon-to-be Mayor Gene Ostrander, who was running unopposed, outside Municipal Hall.
Inside, Ann Sally, Vicky Sabol, Paula Burback and Dave O'Brien were tickled to see a voter - ANY voter. The polls had been open for three hours and I was #28.

Heading out of town on Madison Street. Suzette's new door wreath.
The special trip to Woodman pond was worth it!
And then, a loud gathering of Geese.

Just when everyone thought that the snowstorm had really ended, little round bits of ice began hitting my windshield.
Thanks to WKTV I now know that this is called graupel - "a type of precipitation often referred to as snow pellets or soft hail."
Then the graupel changed to snow, again, and - so - we shovel, blow and plow our way into Spring!
