Here & There
Saturday was a perfect day for being outdoors, and Jim and Connie, on Elmwood Avenue, used the day decorate their home ....
..... and someone hung garlands and bows on the Fire House.
Sunday afternoon was a different story, however. The plastic covering on the new masonry at St. Bernard's billowed like a ship's sails .....
... and the folks from the China Cafe had all they could do to anchor strings of Christmas "icicle" lights above the windows and door.
Out in Hanover, one field of corn blew in the wind ....
...... while that in another location had been harvested and baled.
(Is this a common practice? I don't think I'd seen bales of corn, before.)

Searching for more likely photo images , I drove along Camp Road to "Bird Land" where I found a wonderful treat: a pair of very vocal black-beaked "Trumpeter" Swans and their cygnet.
In other parts of the Bird Land pond there were three or four more swans and several dozen exotic waterfowl of various sorts ...
... plus some Alpaca which, apparently, had all decided that they were thirsty at the same time.
Camp Road is 4.15 miles west of Sangerfield on Route 20 and
Bird Land is just about half a mile North of Route 20.
