Garbage Day.

It's 19.9 degrees at 5:00 a.m.
with just a dusting of new snow.

YNN's morning Weather Forecast:

"Cold with Snow Showers, Temperatures Moderate Mid-Week

Lake snow will wind down by this afternoon. Conditions will remain quiet through a good part of tonight. Light snow will develop from west to east late tonight into Tuesday morning for areas south of the thruway. This is looking like a light area-wide snowfall, but could make for a slick morning commute.
Wednesday will be a seasonable day across the region. Temperatures will moderate into the 30s Thursday, and 40s on Friday with the threat for rain showers."

Here's more  ....

Congratulations to Doris Stephan

this year's recipient of the Waterville Rotary Club's "Roses for the Living" award shown here in a photograph by Mary Beth Plourde accepting her bouquet of roses from Bill Getman along with a plaque which read, in part,

"in recognition and appreciation of her continuing interest in and invaluable contributions to the Waterville Community"
which have included support for and work with the Waterville Historical Society, Waterville Public Library Board and Friends of the Library, and Waterville Rotary.

(Recipients never know, ahead of time, that they will be receiving this honor and Doris told me, yesterday, that she "didn't have a clue!" until she saw her 6'6" grandson - who is not a Rotarian - come into the dining room!)

The Rotary Club invites you to join them this coming Thursday evening when they make their annual Christmas Caroling visit to the Harding Nursing home at 5:30 p.m.

I barely set foot out of the house yesterday for the simple reason that, aside from restocking bird feeders, I just didn't need to and I had plenty of projects to keep me busy and some delightful visitors, too!

Today, however, I've got a slew of errands to do and will make sure that my camera goes everywhere with me!

Have a grand day, everyone!
