It's Garbage Day.
29 degrees at 5:15 Monday morning.
The Weather Forecast from YNN: "Big Warm Up Ahead!
We will see a few flurries and drizzle this morning which could lead to a few icy spots on the roads. Otherwise, there is high pressure building in today and that will bring bright skies and quiet conditions. Temperatures will be colder than yesterday with highs in the upper 20s to near 30. High pressure keep things nice and quiet through much of the week with just a few flurries and snow showers midweek.
Our next big weather system will be Friday and it looks to bring rain with warmer temperatures."

Here and There
Christmas trees are being retired.
Snowmobiles, on the other hand, have been revived, and they and their riders have already traveled more trail-miles than they did all last year! This is just a small portion of those that found their way to the Solsville Hotel on Saturday.
Although a "thaw" is in the forecast, the Village DPW knows that we are not seeing the end of Winter, so they have cleaned up snowbanks all along Main Street .....
................... dug out around all of the nearly one-hundred fire hydrants in the community, and pushed back snowbanks at intersections so that motorists can now have unobstructed view of what's coming. Thank you, DPW guys!

If you've been to the "Times'" website - or read the paper - you've seen the list of winners of the Garden Club's Annual Lighting Contest. I think that I had posted pictures of just about all of those listed except for this beautiful doorway - at the home of Marilyn and Daniel Maine on McCabe Road.
