It's just a hair under 27 degrees and dry at 7:00 a.m.
This is one of those days when there is NO DPW collection;
NO mail and NO news!
It was fairly late in the afternoon when I went out looking for pictures.
Awwwwwww! The Christmas tree's gone!
Not a scenic shot, but worth noting that the Highway Department (NY State?) had been at work moving back snowbanks all along Route 12 south of the Village.

The depth of snow in my back yard is now at only 10" and that amount will no doubt be diminished by the predicted "thaw."
I hope that some of the most impressive icicles will disappear, too.
And although this is a poor photograph, it does tell its own story.
I don't know who this runner was, but the point is - even at a considerable distance, I saw his bright, reflective running gear. He also had a forward-facing flashing red strobe light on his right arm.
To this gentleman and all of our other runners and joggers who take the time to make sure that they can be seen - Thank you!

Also easily seen: two or three flocks of Snow Buntings in the fields next to Fuess-Cleary Road.

The underside of their wings is bright white and when the flocks take flight they give the appearance of swirling snowflakes.
The many mallards who shared the much larger pond at the foot of Grant Hill are now crowded into the very small remaining area of open water.

That's it for now. More when it happens!
Have a good day, everyone!
